The Stealth concept was developed in close collaboration with Torgny Fjeldskaar, Cannondale’s Head of Design at the time. As we worked to define a new design DNA for the brand, the Stealth became the vehicle for expressing that vision.

Its angular, dynamic forms were heavily influenced by the F-35 fighter jet and Lamborghini Reventón. Cannondale had traditionally been recognized for its oversized round aluminum tubes, which provided an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio. The introduction of carbon-fiber construction created greater freedom to move beyond those familiar forms and establish a more progressive visual language.

The Stealth also represented a major step forward in manufacturing. We developed a unique monocoque process that allowed the entire frame to be molded as a single structure, eliminating the need to bond separately molded frame sections together. A single-sided road fork extended the visual identity of Cannondale’s iconic Lefty suspension fork into a new category, while the integrated stem and clean cockpit allowed the frame’s lines to continue uninterrupted through the front of the bike.

Unveiled at Eurobike, the Stealth provided a clear vision of how future Cannondale products could look and helped establish the sharper, more technical design language that would influence the brand’s next generation of bicycles.
